The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, revealed that the University Academic Staff Union, ASUU, could call off the 4-month strike by a lecturer on 3 February today.
Remember that ASUU lecturers began a strike on 5 November 2018 over the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill their needs for better funding for tertiary institutions.
Yesterday, at a media conference in Abuja, the minister informed newsmen that an agreement was reached and that the strike would not occur next week.
